About Me

Two life changing events happened when I turned 19: a diagnosis of Inflammatory Arthritis, and my introduction to Pilates.

Whereas the diagnosis felt like a life sentence, Pilates became my lifeline. Through regular practice, this wonderful low impact form of exercise has helped me retain my mobility, and most importantly build up my physical and mental strength. Without Pilates, I would not have had the opportunity to be well enough to train as a medical doctor - a goal I thought unachievable at the beginning of my diagnosis.

In 2018, a year after qualifying as a Doctor, I decided to join APPI’s Teacher Training to help bring change to clients’ lives through Pilates. I am now qualified in Mat, Reformer, Pre and Post Natal Pilates, and teach In Person and Online classes to people of a wide range of backgrounds.

When I am not teaching Pilates, you will find me in the hospital, working as a Medical Registrar in Acute Medicine. I love the variety of my work, and the rush and buzz that each day brings. My two careers balance each other perfectly - Pilates gives me the space and energy to bring my best to my patients, and my teaching is rooted in my clinical background.

My medical interest lies in Elderly Care - I witness every day how exercise and healthy habits impact on how people age. This drives my passion to share my love of movement - my aim is to help you build a future-proof body through sustainable practice, and therefore live well for as possible.

I can’t wait to join you on your Pilates journey.
